Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 13, 2026
Last updated: July 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Caller Name Announcer Pro ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our Android application, published under the package name com.namecaller.speak.announcer. Please read it together with our Terms of Use.
Summary — the short version
- We read your contact names and incoming call / SMS details only to speak them aloud on your device. These announcements are generated locally.
- We do not sell your personal data to data brokers, and we do not upload your contacts or message content to our own servers.
- The App is free and supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob, Google Firebase, Adjust, and the Facebook (Meta) SDK. These partners process device and advertising identifiers as described below.
- On Android 13+ we include the Advertising ID permission (
AD_ID). You can reset or limit your Advertising ID and decline personalized ads at any time. - You can contact us anytime at waaedewabpsin3807@gmail.com to access or delete your data.
1. Information We Process Directly
We only process the categories of data needed to make the App work. The heart of the App — announcing who is calling or texting — happens on your device.
Contacts
With your permission, the App reads the name and photo associated with an incoming phone number so it can speak the caller's name and (optionally) display it on the call screen. Contact data is used locally on your device for this purpose and is not uploaded to our servers. You can exclude specific contacts from announcements in the App's settings.
Call information (phone state)
The App detects when a call is incoming and the associated phone number so it can trigger the spoken announcement, flash alert, and call-screen theme. We do not build a call log on our servers.
SMS messages
If you enable the SMS Announcer, the App reads the sender and the text of incoming SMS messages solely to read them aloud at the moment they arrive. Message content is processed locally and is not stored on or transmitted to our servers. This feature is optional and off unless you turn it on.
Device permissions we request
- Read contacts (
READ_CONTACTS) — to match an incoming number to a name and announce it. - Phone state (
READ_PHONE_STATE) — to detect incoming calls and read the calling number. - Receive / read SMS (
RECEIVE_SMS,READ_SMS) — only if you enable SMS Announcer, to read incoming messages aloud. - Camera / flashlight (
CAMERA,FLASHLIGHT) — to blink the camera flash as a visual alert for calls and notifications. We do not take photos or record video. - Notification access / run at startup / foreground service — to reliably detect calls and messages and speak announcements even when the App is in the background.
- Advertising ID (
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) — used by our advertising partners to serve and measure ads (see Section 3).
You can revoke any permission at any time in Settings → Apps → Caller Name Announcer Pro → Permissions. Some features (such as name announcements or SMS reading) will stop working if the related permission is revoked.
Local settings and preferences
Your announcement preferences (speech speed, repeat count, excluded contacts, selected themes, silent/vibrate options) are stored locally on your device.
Support communications
If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message so we can respond and provide support.
2. How We Use Information
- To announce caller names, SMS, and battery status aloud.
- To display personalized incoming-call screens and trigger flash alerts.
- To remember your settings and preferences.
- To display advertising that keeps the App free, and to measure app installs and performance.
- To diagnose crashes and improve stability and features.
- To respond to your support requests.
3. Third-Party SDKs We Use

- We do not take photos or record audio/video; camera access is used only to blink the flashlight.
- We do not collect payment card data — the App is free and does not process payments.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to data brokers.
Note: because the App is ad-supported, the advertising and analytics partners listed in Section 3 are considered our data-sharing partners. We do not share your contact list or message content with them.
5. Sharing & Third Parties
We share data only as described here:
- Google — for app distribution (Google Play), analytics and crash reporting (Firebase), and advertising (AdMob).

8. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. None of the SDKs in this App are configured for child-directed ("Designed for Families") treatment. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
Our SDK partners process and store data on servers that may be located in the United States, the European Union, and other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, our partners rely on legal safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms. By using the App you understand your information may be processed in these locations.
10. Security
The App relies on Android's application sandbox and scoped storage to isolate its data, and communicates with SDK endpoints over encrypted HTTPS connections. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice or the Google Play release notes.
